Raina, Ben, and Kelcey formed Trio 426 as classmates at Juilliard in the fall of 2021. All three of them enjoy diverse portfolio careers as chamber, solo, and orchestral musicians, and find great joy in exploring the many gems that the piano trio repertoire has to offer. As a trio, they have coached with Natasha Brofsky, Jonathan Feldman, and Brian Zeger. The number 426 holds special significance as it is the practice room at Juilliard with Ben’s favorite piano, and hence is the room where the group spent many hours rehearsing, discussing phrasing ideas, and delving into the intricacies of many masterworks of the repertoire. Trio 426 has been invited to perform at many venues across New York City including Alice Tully Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Paul Hall at the Juilliard School. Coming up, they are looking forward to their first educational residency in State College, Pennsylvania, where they will give two chamber music seminars to high school students from the State College Area School District, a guest masterclass to student violinists, and a community performance at Foxdale Village Recital Hall. Trio 426 is based in New York City.
